Today’s podcast is a continuation of the message that Tory Bjorklund, President of TRC Ministries, was teaching in the previous episode. We’ve included the last couple minutes of that podcast and now we will hear the conclusion of that message as Tory continues to look at the interactive nature of salvation. We are in the middle of a series called What’s So Great About Salvation. We have learned that in salvation we are saved from the penalty of our sin: judgment and death. But that is not the complete story. Today, Tory Bjorklund, president of TRC Ministries, continues his teaching by giving an introduction to three things we are saved to: life, authority and community. What is the gospel message? As believers we can get caught in a kind of short-hand of thinking and speaking about salvation: Jesus saved us and we will go to heaven. These next few podcasts we will take time to consider salvation. We will look at the need for salvation, the means of salvation, and consider these questions: From what are we being saved, and to what are we being saved? Today Tory Bjorklund, president of TRC Ministries, gives an introduction to What’s So Great About Salvation. 

Imparting knowledge from one person to another takes communication. This can seem like an easy task, but in reality, there are layers of complexity that make communication challenging. We experience this in our homes with those we live with, with friends, and with coworkers. Even when speaking the same language, we can easily have misunderstandings. Arriving at correct knowledge from God’s communication to us in His Word has its challenges as well. Today, Tory Bjorklund, president of TRC Ministries, talks about the nature of communication, and the challenges of language, assumptions, and our own will.

The salvation that is offered us through believing Jesus Christ is greater than being saved physically and somehow continuing our existence after we die. Ephesians 2 talks of salvation as we were dead in our trespasses, but now we are alive with Christ.
